The Indianola City Council met in regular session Monday evening, which included a work session detailing the distribution of the hotel/motel tax distribution, and a discussion regarding parking around the square.
In regular session, the council approved an ordinance vacating the right of way for a city alley on the north side of the 1000 block of East Salem Avenue and the south side of the 1000/1100 block of East Ashland Avenue. The council also approved an ordinance requiring the utility Board of Trustees live within the corporate limits of the City of Indianola so that they are users of most, if not all, of IMU and City utilities, and tabled an ordinance amendment regarding the clarification of Dangerous or Vicious Animals in city code to be discussed at a council study session, before going into closed session to discuss litigation and the purchase or sale of real estate.
