The City/School Elections in Marion County are just three weeks away. The Marion County Auditor’s Office is now accepting absentee voting applications and absentee ballot request forms for this year’s elections. In-person voting at the auditor’s office begins today and runs until Monday, November 6th. The deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is 5pm on Monday, October 23rd. All absentee ballots, whether in-person or by mail, must be received by the Marion County Auditor’s Office by 8pm on Tuesday, November 7th. The 17 countywide polling sites that day will be open from 7am until 8pm. To register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Iowa and be at least 17 years old but must turn 18 by election day to participate in the voting.
