The Simpson College men’s and women’s soccer teams are in a pair of crucial American Rivers Conference clashes today, while the women’s volleyball also looks to keep their streak going.
Both soccer squads are coming off of a long trip to Loras on Saturday, and head back today to Dubuque. The men used an offensive explosion in the second half to pull away for a victory, they stand at 4-1 overall in conference play, and with a win would stand alone at the top of the conference standings with just two games remaining. The Storm women suffered their first loss of the conference season to Loras but are still in second place, and will host a Dubuque team that is just a half-game behind them in the standings. The men begin at 5pm, with the women to follow.
The Storm volleyball squad is off to a 2-2 start in conference play, and will need a win to keep pace against the 0-4 Buena Vista Beavers. The Storm are currently in a tie for the final ARC tournament spots, but are just a half-game back of the third seed. Action begins at 6pm in Storm Lake.
