Coming off of a first round victory over rival Melcher-Dallas, the Twin Cedars Volleyball Squad turns its attention to a much more difficult opponent in the second round of class 1A regional action tonight. The Sabers head to Ankeny to play the top ranked and defending class 1A State Champion Ankeny Christian. The Sabers are 12-14 this season and have not met ACA this season. The Eagles are 33-3 this season with loses to class 2A #4 Denver and twice to class 2A #3 Grundy Center and have two players with over 200 kills each led by Carley Craighead with 232 and Anna Weathers not far behind with 202 kills they are also one/two in blocks with Weathers leading that department with 36. Twin Cedars will counter with three seniors who have led most of the categories for the Sabers as Jillian French and Junior Cristen Durian have both reached 100 kills this season, Durian has 22 blocks on the season and she also has 55 ace serves on the season and Senior Kenzyn Roberts has tallied 54.
