The Webb Shadle Public Library in Pleasantville is holding a pumpkin painting event on Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to bring their children to the library to paint a pumpkin and listen to some not so scary stories from the library witch. Library Director Jo Ellen Glick says that there is a limited number of pumpkins available and the event will also have a special guest.

“The pumpkins will be limited to the first 60 children, so please hurry and get here soon. And then we have a special guest. We have our therapy dog Phoebe and she’ll be here so that the children can read stories to our tail waggin’ tutor.”
