Several area athletes and teams are heading to Fort Dodge next week for the Iowa High School State Cross Country meets.

The following local teams are among the top 15 in their respective classes and will race for a state title next week:

Pella – #1 Girls and #2 Boys, Class 3A
Pella Christian – #15 Boys, Class 2A
Indianola – #11 Girls, Class 4A
Norwalk – #7 Boys, Class 4A
Martensdale St. Mary’s – #16 Girls and #20 Boys, Class 1A

The following individuals have qualified for the state meet:

Knoxville’s Isaac Rankin
Pella Christian’s Bailey Vos and Jaclyn Holmes
Indianola’s Reed Robbins
PCM’s Coby DeRaad and Lila Milani
Pleasantville’s Kurt Kuhnen
Southeast Warren’s Kaleigh Harvey and Ady Mason

Class 1A and 4A athletes and teams will run at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Friday, October 28th, and the 2A and 3A qualifiers compete on Saturday the 29th.
