The Melcher-Dallas Coal Miners Committee has rebranded to the Melcher-Dallas Community Enrichment Committee. 

To celebrate this change, they will be hosting their first annual fall meet and greet event on Saturday. The event is designed for attendees to learn about the organization and will feature free apple cider and pumpkin painting. The meet and greet will also have music, food and craft vendors, and a homemade/from scratch apple pie contest. Drop-off for the apple pie contest is 10:30 am, judging is at 11, and the winner will be announced at noon. Entries will be judged on presentation, crust, and taste.

The event will be held on the south side of the Melcher-Dallas City Park and Northcote Meats from 9 am-2 pm on Saturday.
