The PCM boys and girls cross country teams will be competing at their state qualifying meet today.
The Mustangs will run against 14 teams at the Class 2A State Qualifying meet hosted by Pella Christian. The PCM boys will contest with top ranked Des Moines Christian, #3 Chariton, #15 Pella Christian, and #16 Clarinda. The #15 in 2A PCM girls will compete in a field that features #2 Albia, #4 Des Moines Christian, #16 Clarinda, and #20 Pella Christian. Last season for PCM, the highlight of the state qualifying meet was freshman Abi Teeter finishing in 14th place (21:02.95) to punch her ticket to State as an individual while claiming All-District honors. The Mustang girls finished 7th overall while they boys finished in 12th.
PCM’s Class 2A State Qualifying Meet at the Pella Sports Park this afternoon begins at 4 pm.
