A trek to the state tournament heads to Huxley for the Pella volleyball team as they take on #14 in 4A Ballard this evening. Pella was largely able to control Raccoon River Conference rival of the Bombers Bondurant-Farrar Tuesday in a 3-1 win. Katie Scheckel finished with 11 kills and Brooke Schulte added 10, with Sydney Namminga and Abbie Brand each adding three bocks each, Kyli Hiemstra nabbing 19 digs and Hunter Hughell tallying seven aces.

Ballard is 21-8 overall and placed 3rd in their conference this fall, and has already fallen to the Dutch this season 2-0 at the Ballard home tournament on September 16th. The Bombers are balanced on offense, with four players eclipsing the 100 kill mark, with Memphis Inglett at the top at 171 and Brenna Baumgardner at 145.

Pella heads to Huxley in the 4A Region 7 semifinals at 7:00 this evening.
