The Central College volleyball team could not get its offensive attack going as it was swept by Nebraska Wesleyan University 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 Thursday in an American Rivers Conference contest.
Central falls to 18-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference. Despite the loss, the Dutch still have more overall wins than any program in the conference. The Dutch offense recorded just 25 kills while committing 26 errors on 105 swings for a hitting percentage of -.010. Emma Wagler had the highest percentage night, putting down four kills on 10 attempts. Leslie Snow led the team with six kills. Libero Colleen Kenney had 17 digs. Setter Avery Rexroat had 12 assists and two service aces.
The Dutch host Beloit College and the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Saturday in P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium for a triangular. After opening with Beloit at 3 pm, Central will have its Senior Night ceremony before the match with Wisconsin – La Crosse at 7 pm.
