The Indianola City Council reviewed the distribution of the hotel/motel tax funds brought into the city, which is provided to community organizations that promote more tourism and events. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News city staff and council just wanted to review where the funds were disbursed last year, and how those events have affected the city over the past year.

“We do have a lot of tourism that comes through the community. We just want to make sure we are supporting those entities that continually perpetuate those dollars coming in. It is really the law of the harvest, those dollars come in, we plant seeds with it, they grow more, and they come back to our community. We just want to make sure we are investing those dollars wisely.”
