The Pella volleyball team fell behind early and couldn’t keep up with an overpowering Ballard attack in a 3-0 sweep by the Bombers (25-13, 25-16, 25-16) in the 4A Regional Semifinals Thursday. The Dutch couldn’t overcome 13 Ballard blocks and their own offensive inconsistency as the #14 ranked team defended their home court. Katie Scheckel tallied eight kills and Abbie Brand had six to lead Pella. The Dutch finish the 2023 season at 21-20 overall and say farewell to four seniors.
