In anticipation for another spring bloom, the City of Pella and Pella Historical Museums have announced they are starting to plant Pella’s favorite flowers. The annual process started this week, with the city and Pella Historical Society responsible for nearly 220,000 bulbs — and several thousand others will be planted by other community groups and residents in the coming weeks. Pella Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan and Pella Historical Museums Executive Director Jessi Galligan are both excited for residents and visitors to see the annual shows that follow next spring ahead of the Tulip Time Festival.
