Construction on the downtown Indianola square is expected to wrap up next summer, with work on the west alley in addition to the extra signage and other location specific construction. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News what next year will look like.
“We are looking into maybe June or July, possibly August of next year getting the west alley and parking lot done, then the bow on top of the entire project is the wayfinding signs, monuments, and archways that go over the sidewalks that will be added in. We are working on getting those subcontractors for that project lined up. So by this time next year, I am pretty confident construction will be wrapped up and the final product will be visible.”
Work on the west alley may begin this fall, weather dependent.
