The Simpson College football team travels to Decorah this afternoon for an American Rivers Conference game at the Luther College Norse.
The Storm are coming off of a 28-0 loss on homecoming to Coe last week, while the Norse are off to a 0-6 start to the season after dropping last week’s contest 17-10 at Buena Vista. While Luther is struggling this season, Simpson head coach Reed Hoskins says they are not in a position to overlook any opponent.
“They’re hungry for a victory, they’re working hard too and I’m sure they’re telling their guys they deserve the opportunity to be victorious. So, we’re certainly not overlooking any of those things. Anytime that you travel three hours and 45 minutes to four hours from home on a bus, you know there’s a challenge to that. It’s fall break around here, so there’s no classes and things of that nature, so we’re really trying to capitalize on the extra time that we have and make sure that our guys are focused as we head up there.”
The game can be heard live on 94.3 KNIA, with Tyler Crabb and Clayton Sampson calling all the action. Pregame coverage begins at 12:35, with kickoff to follow at 1pm.
