For the second straight season, Knoxville Cross Country Runner Isaac Rankin will head to Fort Dodge for the class 3A State Cross Country Meet. Rankin qualified for the State Meet last Wednesday finishing in 10th place at the State Qualifier at the Pella Sports Park. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Rankin learned a lot from being up there as a freshman ,and hopefully he will have a better day than last year.
Splavec: “He knows a lot and knows what to expect. He wants to be in that top 30 and that would be a huge improvement from last year, and take his time from 18:00 to around 17:00 and set him up for his junior season.”
Rankin will run the class 3A race at 2:45 on Saturday at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge.
