Limiting Luther College to just 137 total yards of offense Saturday, the Simpson College football team dominated in a 56-14 American Rivers Conference road win heard live on 94.3 KNIA.
The Storm defense was dominant throughout the game, holding the Norse to negative nine yards offensively in the first half and forcing two turnovers in the win. Leading the charge defensively for Simpson was Wyatt Schaben with eight tackles, Mason Little with four pass breakups. CJ Hangartner recorded a sack and a forced fumble that was recovered by Joey Goins and Nathaniel Bishop got an interception. Pairing with the stifling defense for the Storm was a steady and balanced offensive attack that racked up 560 total yards. Quarterback J Jensen III completed 25 of 38 passing attempts for 308 yards and five touchdowns, while running back Desmond Alexander posted 18 rushes for 86 yards and a score.
Simpson improved to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference this season, and will return to the home turf of Buxton Stadium this Saturday to host the University of Dubuque.
