The T-15 Flagler Bridge will be closing for a complete replacement in the coming months.

The bridge is just north of Old Highway 92 on Highway T-15 near the town of Flagler. Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian says that tentatively the closure is scheduled to start in the middle of November and could last anywhere from five to seven months.

“We have had our pre-construction meeting with the contractor. Tentatively they’re looking at about the middle of November for the road closure. However, when you’re dealing with the railroad, there’s a lot of things that we have to do on a project development and design side, but on the contractor side, they also have a lot of safety trainings and certifications they have to get and specific plan approvals for demolishing the existing bridge structure, which they don’t have all of them yet. So, that may delay the project’s start date a little bit, but tentatively the contractor is looking at mid-November for the road closure.”
