fall-colors

The latest fall colors report in south central Iowa was released by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) earlier this week. Maple trees are showing bright colors, and dogwood, sumac, and oak trees are bright red to deep purple. Hickory trees have turned yellow and brown, while walnut, cottonwood, and silver maple trees have turned yellow and are losing their leaves. Peak fall colors viewing season in south central Iowa was last week, but the Iowa DNR says that a variety of colors can still be seen throughout the landscape.
