Area schools will be competing in the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association’s State Solo Qualifiers on Friday and Saturday. Soloists involved in the color guard will compete for their spot in the State Championships on Friday, while those involved with dance will compete on Saturday. Competitors will compete in 14 different categories, with the top ten in each category advancing to the State Solo Finals. The State High School Team and Solo Championships will be held November 29th through December 1st at Wells Fargo Arena and Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines.
