Heading into a rematch at Grundy Center this Friday night, the Pella Christian football team feels confident that this Friday’s game will look much different than the week three matchup.

Since falling to the Spartans back on September 8th, the Eagles have gone 5-1 and outscored their opponents 257-128. In their last three games, Pella Christian’s defense has produced two shutouts, including holding Ogden scoreless last week in their Class 1A playoff opener. Looking to avenge their early season loss at Grundy Center, Pella Christian head coach Rich Kacmarynski feels his team is in a great position to shock the Spartans on Friday.

“The thing we have going for us is we’re playing really good football. We’re playing our best football of the year, we’re healthy, I think we got our chess pieces on the board the way that we want now and that’s kind of exciting. So, that’s what the playoffs are about, finding out how good you are, who’s the best, so that’s where we’re going to continue our march. I think we have a nice playoff team, and so we’re going to just keep getting better and see what happens.”

Pella Christian’s second round playoff game at Grundy Center Friday night can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS, beginning with pregame coverage at 6:30.
