The Indianola volleyball team qualified to the state tournament at the Xtream Arena in Coralville Tuesday night after dispatching Glenwood 3-0, qualifying for the second straight year after they fell to to Western Dubuque in the quarterfinal round in five sets last year. After being ranked #2 all season long and returning the majority of starters and varsity roster, the Indians motto this season was “Every Ball”, meaning they wouldn’t let up all season long. Head coach Kent Halstead says the experience from last year just means that they know the big stage is just another game.

“It’s another great match. It’s not “the” match, it’s another great match we get to play. We play Marion who is rated 7th, and they are a very good team and we are a good team. So nothing really changes, it’s just another opportunity for us to enjoy each other.”

Marion went 26-12 on the season, placing 2nd at the competitive WaMaC postseason tournament.
