The Indianola football team looks to make it three straight trips to the state quarterfinal round tonight as they head on the road to Cedar Rapids to face the Saints of Cedar Rapids Xavier. The Indians are coming off of a blowout win over Des Moines North, and won their last two regular season games that included an upset of then #2 ADM. The Saints have won five in a row after an upset loss to Pella, that included a win over #7 North Scott. Indians head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports the Indians have played much better at home compared to their 1-3 road record, and he wants the guys to show the same intensity that they have in front of their home crowd.

“The big thing for us this year, other than Des Moines North, has been what type of team is going to get off the bus on the road. If we walk off the bus with the team that I know that we can be, I’ve said it multiple times I like our opportunity and our chances.”

The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
