KCSD Superintendent Cassi Pearson, who presented the statistics at the meeting, says that  the grand total includes students at all levels of schooling.

“That includes three year old preschool, four year old preschool, early childhood special education, full time K-12, and part time students that participate in either our activities programas as they’re homeschooled, or our homeschool assistance program.”

The board also was shown open enrolled out statistics which showed that 228 students living within the KCSD are open enrolled in another district, with 127 of those students never attending KCSD. It was also presented that 43.85 fewer students are living within the district for the current school year. Students living within the KCSD are open enrolled out at 14 different school districts.
