Pleasantville junior Kurt Kuhnen will be competing in the state cross country meet today in Fort Dodge.

Kuhnen finished tenth overall at the Central Decatur state qualifying meet with a time of 17:33.08 to punch his ticket to state. Kuhnen has consistently been a top ten finisher this year for the Trojans and Pleasantville Coach Aaron Fitcher is happy to see the hard work pay off. 

“I’m really happy for him. He put the time in, and when a kid does put the time in like that you want to see it pay off, and he got that done.”

Earlier in the season, Kuhnen broke the school record for the Pleasantville course.
