Marion County Public Health is hosting an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) training program sponsored by CROSS and Heart of Iowa MHDS Region on November 8th and 9th. 

ASIST is a two class workshop that specializes in suicide intervention skills. The training runs from 8:00am-5:00pm and will teach and provide practice for a life-saving intervention model that is widely used by professionals and the general public. ASIST studies have shown that participants gain knowledge about suicide, skills to reach out, and confidence to help save a life. To register for this training, visit www.firstresources.us.
