The songwriters behind some of country music’s biggest hits are coming to the Pella Opera House on Saturday for the return of Nashville North.
Local singer/songwriter and Pella Opera House Associate Director Jara Johnson is inviting her friends Don Sampson, Wynn Varble and Jim “Moose” Brown to the stage to discuss and perform the songs they have written for Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Chris Stapleton, Jon Pardi and Darryl Worley, among others. Johnson says the show is a great opportunity to learn about the inspiration behind some of country music’s greatest hits.
“You feel like you’re sitting in their living room and they are just sharing stories. You get that personal connection between the stories they’re sharing, singing the songs, and what that inspiration is that you really feel connected. I think that’s what the audience, I’ve heard more from anyone, is that they just feel so connected with the songwriters after the show and just have a better understanding of where these inspirations for these hit songs have come from.”
Nashville North will be held from 7 to 9 pm tomorrow and tickets for the show at the Pella Opera House can be purchased at their box office during regular hours or online.
