Temperatures 15 to 20 degrees below normal have settled into the region as many celebrate Halloween and prepare for the change to November. According to the National Weather Service, daytime highs around 40 degrees and slightly cooler and overnight lows near 20 degrees are expected through Wednesday morning. Warning Coordination Meteorologist Chad Hahn reminds anyone taking part in trick-or-treat festivities to wear an extra layer, especially after the sunsets.
