The #2 Indianola volleyball team hosts #7 Marion in the class 4A quarterfinal round of the state tournament Monday, their second straight season traveling to Xtream Arena in Coralville. The Indians have only lost four times this season, all to class 5A top-seven opponents, and haven’t dropped a game since September. Marion had a late winning streak to end their season after a colder start, but have played three class 4A state teams and are winless against the top eight so far this season.

Head coach Kent Halstead tells KNIA Sports the team will be treating this as any other game like they have been all season long, and won’t be lost in the moment or the gravity of the game.

The match will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 4:10pm, with first serve scheduled for 4:25.
