The Pleasantville volleyball team will return a majority of their team in 2024.

The Trojans season ended last Monday in a regional semifinals game to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont to fall short in their run at a state tournament bid. However, there is plenty to be excited about for Pleasantville volleyball. The Trojans set a school record this year with 27 wins on the season, which re-broke the record they set last year when recording 20 wins.

Pleasantville will lose talented seniors Danika Park, Jayden Tibben, and Sicily Schuck, but will return five players who either started or saw significant time out on the floor. One of those being junior Libero Emily Roe, who had a significant role in the team’s success this season. Roe recorded 356 digs on the year, which put her at third in the West Central Conference and she carried a team high 92% serve efficiency percentage. The Trojans finished the 2023 season with a 27-13 overall record.
