Simpson receiver and PCM High School Alum Reed Worth etched his name into the history books Saturday afternoon as he caught two touchdowns to become the all-time receiving touchdowns leader in program history as the Storm fell 45-21 to Dubuque as heard live on 94.3 KNIA.

The Storm had a disastrous start, punting five times in the first quarter, gaining no first downs, and gave up three touchdowns to the Spartans on their first three possessions to trail 21-0, and Dubuque would score another touchdown in the opening minutes of the second to lead 28-0.

The game stabilized after that, with J Jensen III finding Briley Hayes out of the backfield for the Storm’s first score, but they would trail 35-7 at the half. Jensen found Worth for his two touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the two teams traded scores. Head coach Reed Hoskins tells KNIA Sports he was proud of the way the Storm kept with it despite the early deficit, and he thought the defense made the correct adjustments and fought hard to the end.

Jensen threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns, while Worth had 112 yards and the two scores. The Storm fall to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in American Rivers Conference play, and will head on the road to Loras on Saturday.
