Helping Hands Food Pantry in Knoxville is in need of Thanksgiving turkey donations.

The free food pantry and thrift store assembles holiday gift baskets for Thanksgiving to provide to any family in need. Anyone in Knoxville, or surrounding communities can go into Helping Hands and sign up to receive a Thanksgiving basket. However, the yearly holiday baskets can only happen with donations from the community. Helping Hands Director Chuck Galeazzi encourages the community to step up and donate.

“It just makes a nice holiday for somebody, and if you donate, it makes you feel good also. People get as much out of giving as they get out of getting sometimes. We just have to stir it up.”

If you would like to help with donations you can drop off turkeys or a monetary amount at Helping Hands located at 110 W Main St. in Knoxville.
