Following his 113th place finish at the State Cross Country Meet this past weekend, Knoxville Runner Isaac Rankin will look to the offseason to see what he can do to improve not only his time but placing next season as he sets his sights on another state meet appearance. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Rankin was slowed by a couple of physical issues and it will be used as a learning experience to try to get back to State next fall.

Splavec: “It shows on the times and he can improve a little bit, and he will take the offseason to improve and I know Isaac will be very motivated to get back up there next year.”

Splavec adds Rankin is a very motivated person and will take the offseason to train and learn how to run smarter and all of the other things that will make his state meet a better experience.
