The Christmas season is coming up and with it, the Pella Opera House’s Festival of Trees returns.

The Festival of Trees will run from November 18th through December 2nd, and the Pella Opera House will be open from 10am-4pm Monday through Saturday during the event. The Opera House will also have extended hours from 10am-8pm on November 20th during the Tour of Stores and 30th through December 2nd for the Tour of Homes and Kerstmarkt. The Festival of Trees will have Christmas trees, lights, wreaths and decorations on display. Pella Opera House Executive Director Cyndi Atkins says that the event is geared towards families and that they will once again have a scavenger hunt for children. 

“It’s a family event. Bring your kids in to enjoy the scavenger hunt that we have here for them. Look among the trees and look for a specific ornament or some other little decoration item and it’s super fun for the kids. We have little prizes for them. It’s all about the youth for this, but us adults, we love looking at the decorations too.”
