Winning five matches and a tournament title in his first competition of the season, Pierre Baldwin of the Central College men’s wrestling team was chosen as the American Rivers Conference Wrestler of the Week on Monday.

Baldwin went 5-0 at the Pointer Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point this past Saturday. He defeated a pair of Division II wrestlers en route to the title, including a 9-6 sudden victory win over Wis.- Parkside’s Troy Dolphin. He defeated Bradley Rosen of North Central College (Ill.), the No.7 wrestler nationally and No. 1 in the Lower Midwest Region, in the final. Rosen is also a returning national qualifier.

The Dutch travel to Lincoln, Nebraska on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. dual with Nebraska Wesleyan University.
