Marion County Public Health held their monthly providers meeting Monday morning.
The meeting provides healthcare and community organizations an opportunity to inform the public of updates within their respective organizations. On Monday, a representative from Care Initiatives gave a presentation about hospice care options in the community. Del Bennett with Marion County Public Health said that hospice can be helpful with grieving the loss of a loved one.
“Nobody is an expert on grief. Everyone grieves differently. When a family gets together there are all kinds of emotions and a hospice person can level the playing field and keep everyone in unison together.”
Marion County Public Health’s monthly providers meetings are open to any community or health organization.
