Area cheerleading squads competed at the Iowa Cheerleading Coaches’ Association’s State Championships at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Saturday. Competing in the Class 2A Cheer-Dance competition, PCM claimed a fourth place finish. The Pella High School cheerleaders competed in the Class 3A Game Time Spirit competition and finished in ninth place. Indianola had two teams compete in the Class 4A Stunt Group competition, with one taking tenth place and the other finishing in 12th place.
