Already two of the best athletes to ever compete in their respective sport at Pella High School, a pair of Dutch seniors made their college destinations official as part of National Signing Day Wednesday afternoon.

Pella Soccer Standout Abby Warner will be an Iowa Hawkeye and Softball Stalwart Ava Curry is going to be a Drake Bulldog after signing their National Letters of Intent.

Following the team’s 14th ever appearance at state, Warner was named a three-time first team All-State forward in Class 2A after scoring 45 goals in 2023, eclipsing the 100 career goal mark in her junior campaign.

Curry is a two-time All-State honoree and was a 2023 1st Team selection after hitting .500 (5th in 4A) with 8 home runs, 31 stolen bases (t-5th in 4A) and 96 total bases (t-8th) this past summer.
