A flag raising and ceremony in honor of Veterans Day was held Thursday morning at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Veterans and their families throughout the community came out to help put up American flags lining the road of the cemetery at 7:00 am on Thursday. After the flag raising their was a ceremony led by Marion County Veterans Affairs Director Rob Bandstra. Bandstra spoke about the significance of the upcoming holiday and his gratitude for all Veterans. The flags at the cemetery will be taken down at 3:00 pm Monday afternoon.
