The Pella Community Food Shelf has fully moved into its new location on the west side of the community, and they continue to seek aid in paying for renovations to the facility. Director Melissa Zula is thankful for the generosity and patience shown as they’ve transitioned to their new space at 1111 West 16th Street. Zula says they are nearly 1/3rd of the way completed with the HopeFULL Movement, which is now open to the public, with an overall goal of raising $1.5 million to ensure the Pella Community Food Shelf will have a permanent home for the foreseeable future. An open house for the facility will be held on Thursday, December 7th from 6 to 8 p.m., with the KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio joining an evening full of festivities. Find out how to donate here. The Pella Community Food Shelf is featured on today’s Let’s Talk Pella and will be on Food Drive Friday Special Edition Magazines frequently throughout the holiday season on 92.1 KRLS.
