The Pella Public Library is welcoming author Dr. Edgar Epperly to read and discuss his true crime book, Fiend Incarnate: Villisca Axe Murders of 1912 on November 20th.
Dr. Epperly started his teaching career at Pella High School as a social studies teacher. He has spent over 60 years interviewing eyewitnesses and key figures and examining historical records connected to the Villisca murder case. Dr. Epperly’s research began in 1955 as a college student at the University of Northern Iowa, and is considered the leading authority on the subject. The 416-page historical, non-fiction book features over 190 rare images. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing after the presentation.
This event will take place at 6:30 pm in the Pella Public Library Meeting Room and is free and open to the public.
