Peoples Bank celebrated their 25th anniversary with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Indianola Chamber of Commerce Thursday morning.
Peoples Bank President and CEOKevin Halterman tells KNIA News the 25 years has flown by since their start on the downtown square.
“It’s surreal. I get asked that question, did you envision where the bank stands today and all the communities you serve? And the honest answer is no. When we started the bank, we were very happy downtown. We are almost $500 million today, and I always thought that if we got to $50 million we’d be somebody, and we’ve surpassed that. Now serving several communities throughout southern Iowa, Chariton will be the new one to come on this spring. We’ve just been blessed with communities we serve, and the communities that have embraced us. For that, we are grateful.”
