Following her first season as the head coach of the Pella Christian volleyball team, Erica Boer is excited to begin her second year leading the Eagles.

Pella Christian won 17 matches in Erica’s first season at the helm and also had a second place finish at the North Mahaska Invite on September 16th. Having served as an assistant coach the past few seasons for the Eagles, Erica said that she was a little nervous stepping back into a head coach position, but said that she really enjoyed her first season atop the program.

“You know I was a little worried about that and for the most part it’s gone really well. There’s still areas for me to grow ,which there always is, and I actually love to learn and I love to get better, so that’s been cool for me, but I’ve actually super enjoyed having my own program.”

Pella Christian finished the 2023 season with a 17-21 record overall.
