Some new faces on the sidelines and teams on the schedule for both of the Melcher-Dallas Basketball Squads this winter. For the girls, Kelsey Goff will return as head coach and while the schedule remains very similar to last season, the Saints, in girls basketball, will not play their arch-rivals Twin Cedars this season due to the Sabers canceling their season due to low numbers. The Saints have 18 games on their Bound schedule, including at least two figured in for the Bluegrass Conference Tournament. One team that is new on both the boys and girls schedule is Cardinal on February 1st. The boys will have a new face patrolling the sidelines this winter after John Suntken stepped down Matt Bennett will take over the reins. The boys schedule is similar to the girls with Cardinal being the lone new team on the slate. Twin Cedars appears twice this season. The first being on December 15th and the second January 19th, just before the Bluegrass Conference Tournament. The Saints once again will play all of their home games at Southeast Warren High School as the construction of the new Melcher-Dallas High School Gym continues.
