Emergency crews responded to a fire 200 block of North 6th St in Knoxville Saturday. At 4:48 a.m., the the Knoxville Fire Department was dispatched and responded with an engine company, ladder company, an
ambulance, and a command car with twelve total personnel. While department was enroute, dispatch advised there were flames through the roof and everyone was reported out of the structure. The department arrived to find fire in the bedroom area, exterior walls up through the roof of the first floor and the fire was rapidly spreading to the rest of the home. Knoxville fire crews were able to extinguish the fire in the carport area. No injuries were mentioned in a news release issued by Fire Chief Cal Wyman. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
