Representatives from Indianola, Knoxville, and Norwalk High School volleyball teams were honored by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association as announced earlier this week, making the Class 4A All-State Team.
Class 4A Runner-Up Indianola had three representatives on the team, with senior Tori Runyan making the First Team, and juniors Aspen Nelson and Camryn Overton making the Second Team. Runyan led class 4A in assists with 1,106, while Overton was 6th in kills with 401, and Nelson was an all-around player with 256 kills and 263 digs.
The Panthers were led by Brittney Bacorn, who was selected to the class 4A Second Team for the second straight year.. Bacorn led Knoxville with 561 assists, while contributing 244 kills on a Knoxville regional final team.
Norwalk’s Noelle Sutcliffe ended her Warriors career holding 10 school records and was selected to the Class 4A Third Team. Sutcliffe holds the Norwalk record for kills in a career and season, and total sets played among others.
The same players were also selected by the IGCA to the Class 4A Central All-District Team, joined by Norwalk’s Grace Dehmer. The defensive specialist led the Warriors with 452 digs on the season.
