The Pella Christian girls basketball team kicks off the 2023-2024 season on Saturday in Bloomfield at Davis County.

The Eagles enter Saturday’s season opener off a 5-19 season last winter and under the direction of first year head coach Brendan Foughty. Since practice began on November 6th, Foughty and his staff have been working on reenergizing the program and implementing their style of play. Foughty says that he’s excited about where the team is at currently in that process and is ready to see it in action on Saturday.

“When you learn something new, and it’s completely different than what you’re used to, it takes a complete trust in the coaching staff and in each other. Our style of play really is truly dependent on our kids trusting each other, trusting coaches, and committing to what we’ve given them, so I’m really just excited to kind of see that come to life on Saturday. ”

Tipoff for the Pella Christian girls basketball team’s season opener at Davis County on Saturday afternoon is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
