The Indianola girls basketball team’s season came to a close in the regional semifinal in February, and with it came the graduation of a senior class of two. The Indians lost four-year starter Emily Naughton and Gillian Smith, but bring back senior Brynn Bishop and add another senior transfer in Brianne White. The Indians also bring back rotation players Dana Blake, Lauren Olson, and Zoey Belt.

Head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports when he took over there were a lot of things to build on with the program, and he’s happy that this year’s seniors have left a good mark on the program, and there will be plenty of opportunities for athletes who played JV last year to move into varsity spots.

The Indians get their season started on Tuesday hosting Urbandale.
