The City of Indianola Planning and Zoning Commission held a meeting Tuesday evening, discussing a proposal for the housing and commercial developments near the Deer Run Golf Course.

The plan currently includes a future clubhouse featuring a gym, pool, and concessions. The 18-hole golf course will continue to operate on the site. Approximately 22-acres of new commercial areas, and a variety of housing types, including single-family dwellings, town/row homes, and apartment units.

All Planning and Zoning approval are recommendations that will now move forward to the Indianola City Council, where separate public hearings will take place. The earliest decisions that could be made by council would be January 16th.
