The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and THRIVE Knoxville hosted Living Windows Thursday night in downtown Knoxville.
The town square and many storefront windows were decorated for this year’s theme, “Festive Flicks: A Cinematic Christmas Celebration”. The festivities began with the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the lawn of the Marion County Courthouse. Additionally, the evening included a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a snowball drop, a community donation drive, and carriage rides. Santa said that he looks forward to attending Living Windows every year.
“I always enjoy coming to Knoxville for Living Windows. It is just so joyous to see all the people come out and support the town, and all the children that come, it’s just a lot of fun.”
The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was also at the event playing Christmas music.
